His mind wanes
No longer in chains

What I am is who I am

A tempered man

Following his dreams

A confidence gleams

His mind immersed
No longer cursed

Once held captive by time

Now versed in rhyme
No longer tarnished

By tattoos banished

Within hallow crevices

Or by altering sketches
His mind reset ready
Unafraid or in a hurry.

Overburden Wind

The wind unfurled

Down the winding

Road without colour

Its breath fatigued

Ruptured over time

Blinded by desert storms

Devastated by hurricanes

Withered, parched in

Drought bearing

Sadness, hopelessness

Yet this same wind has

Witnessed the warmth

Of friends and victory
Bringing hope where
There was none, a
Wind without incident

A caring breeze without

Suffering, prejudice, a

Bitter-sweet wind

Inhaling our Fate.

Landed on my

Peeling gate post

A timeless friend

Sharing the day's

Parting sunlight

Our eyes collide

Breathing in light's

Fading breathe

Thoughts give way
Memories pressed

Secrets shared this

Merlin of prey

Knows me well

Sheltering my mind

Against night's haunt

An unheeded wind

Carries in the dark

Sharing lost journeys

Fermenting in denial
Grounded in time

Feathered in flight

Gaming warriors

Once battling self

No longer sought

Nor preying on

Hope's promise

In growing shadows

We recognize true

The light of faith

Cannot visualize
Destiny's fate

Only changing winds

Under forgotten wings

Uplifting our longing

To yes fly once again.

Chinook winds
Arching, giving way
To cumulus cloud

Starving his sunlight
A dubious wandering soul
Easily distracted, misled
An impetuous dreamer
